Gregory A's 1999 Impreza 2.5RS
I always wanted a 2.5RS from the time they were new when I was in high school and college. The 2.5RS was the car that made me want a Subaru of my own. My first Subaru, my current daily driver 2014 WRX in World Rally Blue, didn't come along until years later. While the WRX is a great car, it still wasn't the 2.5RS I always wanted. When I saw this car on Facebook Marketplace and it was less than an hour from mt house, it felt like it was meant to be. I bought this one thinking I would rally it but fell in love with it and decided, after two RallyCrosses, that I didn't want to beat up such a nice example of a rare car. Instead I am restoring (or lightly resto-modding) this car and bringing it back to its former glory with the addition of some tasteful mods. Current modifications are a strut tower bar, front/rear sway bars, UEL header, hi-flow cats, Borla catback, Group N engine/trans mounts, AGX struts w/ King +0.5" springs, and rally mudflaps. I've had a lot of rust repair done in the unibody frame rails, rockers, trunk pan, doors, roof, and rear quarter panels. I recently had the car painted a very nice shiny white with silver pearl. I have included photos of the different phases this car has gone through to get where it is now (racing, rust problems, and now). I love this car and I hope you all do as well.
